About Janell
Hello, I’m Janell Wysock! I am a curious person who has always enjoyed color, light, and things up close such as moss and micro details. I continually strive to lead a lifestyle that brings joy, inclusivity, and education to those around me.
My late Polish grandmother got me started on this road with basic sewing lessons! Now, as an artist and designer, I revel in an array of materials to work with, both high-end fine quality materials, and pairing them with items that are often considered to be trash like single use plastic shopping bags, cassette tapes, and end-of-life textile goods. The idea of pairing these items that are typically not put together and making it beautiful interests me. When I engage with creating fabric starting with the base concept of the structure through weaving and knitting, I often find ways to streamline processes to allow for an environmentally conscious product.

Inspiration & Vision
While I was living in Germany, I was inspired by the deep respect and integration the European culture has for artists, their attention to high-level design, and how it is reflected in fine craftsmanship with a playful approach. Upon returning home to the states, equipped with a plethora of fine art and sewing skills, I was determined to pursue my own artistic vision and began my fashion and textile degree at Moore College of Art and Design, where I was named a distinguished alumni in 2021.
Now, my vision is to compose beautiful, bold-colored, high-quality textiles using classic techniques that have been re-imagined. We want to create products that can be worn on the body, used in the home, and contribute to the quality of life and give back to our communities.
Process
Process
In the studio and with our small team, we hand-loom knitwear on our bulky and standard knitting machines and create wovens on our multi-harness floor looms. We use these artisan techniques to create contemporary, handcrafted one-of-a-kind art to wear, along with limited and small-run production pieces that are seasonless.
Our process is also oftentimes defined by our unique approach to sustainability. To learn more about our sustainability practices, click the button below.
